Everyone needs a little extra money to help with expenses. I will be honest with you, you will not become rich overnight but, if you stay the course, then financial independence is within reach.

I will divide this into short-term and long-term plans.

The first two suggestions will be short-term and produce results instantly.

Delivery Service.

The top suggestions will be Uber. If you have a decent vehicle, this will be a great starting point. Let me tell you, I have personally used this, and it has brought me through hard times and given me a little extra to spend.  If you don’t have a great vehicle, there is always food delivery services. Flipping Products.

Buying products below market cost and reselling at the market price. You can post on Facebook or eBay. There are other sites you can use to sell your products. Consistency and finding the right product. Find your niche, this gives you’re the best chance of creating a following with return customers. Have a plan and stick by it.

A plan can be how much you are willing to pay for the product. Negotiate and get the best price. Be prepared to adapt and do upgrades to the product to sell for a better price.

This is not fast money, but you will make a little more every time you make a sale. Once again, be intentional and consistent.

Second Job.

Life is not always going to be roses and sunny days. Unfortunately, getting a second job does take away from our family. This can be taxing on the kids and your marriage. Be intentional and make plans to start work immediately.

Build an Investment Account.

This may seem complicated, but it’s attainable. First open an account. That’s the first step. Second step, send money to the account. Doesn’t matter the amount. Send anything. Third step, invest money in stocks that pay dividends. A google search can give you the top dividend paying stocks to invest in.

I’d like to clarify that you will not get rich overnight, but you will have a reasonable chunk of change available to you in the next year or two.

This is also a long term solution, but will pay more in the long run. People needs help in various ways. Studying the market and mastering something that people will pay for is one of the quickest ways to make money.

Babysitting or Moving

Not everyone can move furniture and not everyone can babysit. There are different roles that people are comfortable with you handling. Do not fight the trend, fit in the trend. Lots of babysitters tend to be ladies. Ladies, let people know about your babysitting services.

Gentlemen, your strength is one of your biggest assets. Do something with your abilities. Cut grass or clean our something. There is always some kind of opportunity to make money doing some form of physical labor.

I will end this blog by mentioning that at some point, we all need a little extra dollars. Being creative and earning through honest means is the only way to avoid any trouble.
